Lea Salonga re-posts selfie with Joe Biden on US Election Day
Lea Salonga took to Twitter to express her support for US presidential candidate Joe Biden on Election day.
The world-renowned Filipino singer reposted a selfie with the former US Vice President taken at the 2017 Tony Awards in New York.
“Whatever happens, we’re with you," she wrote tagging Joe Biden.
"Such a privilege to meet you at the Tonys!” Lea added.
Biden, who was vice president during the Obama administration, is currently up against President Donald Trump at the polls this November 3, 2020.
Lea was able to take a photo with Biden when she was seated near him at the 2017 Tony Awards, where she presented an award.
The Filipino Broadway star, who is famous for playing Eponine in “Les Miserables” and winning a Tony Award for her role in “Miss Saigon,” got to take a picture with many other celebrities including Mark Hammill from “Star Wars," Lin Manuel Miranda from “Hamilton” and Josh Gad who voiced Olaf in “Frozen.”
